On August 26 at the Taoyuan National Book Exhibition, the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association Publishing Co., Ltd. and the Taoyuan Center held a new book conference to discuss the release of God Takes Care of Everything, an illustrated collection of wisdom tales by Supreme Master Ching Hai. Many people attended the event, which included brilliant children’s drama performances and a seminar by five education experts, who explored the volume’s unique points and shared their insights on early childhood education.

Miss Zheng Shan-ling, advisor to the Taipei Association for Self-learning at Home to Develop Human Potential, said, “This illustrated storybook covers all twelve of the special aspects of children’s character development. It provides superb examples with respect to recognition of the human self; the benevolence, love, courage and imagination inherent in human nature; and unification with nature. It’s consistent with the balance of body, mind and spirit that’s emphasized in high-quality children’s education and is thus an ideal teaching tool.”

In addition, Miss Lai Mei-xin, a licensed Waldorf Education teacher and full-time mother, said, “The most vital elements in children’s education are treating them with wholehearted sincerity and letting them grow up in an environment of love and joy.” Miss Lai considers the book God Takes Care of Everything to be a gift from Supreme Master Ching Hai to both children and adults. Young children have just arrived from Heaven, and though they may be too small to read, they can still appreciate the text’s lovely illustrations. This is a book about love and an excellent spiritual guide for everyone.

Mr. Zhou Hui-hong, a prominent figure in Formosa’s go-chess community said, “When I was little, my teacher often said that when educating children we should treat them as our own. Now I’m teaching children how to play go-chess. In this book I found a corresponding truth, namely, “accompanied learning.” I’ve noticed that when parents are sincere about being by their children’s sides, a loving energy emerges. This allows the children to concentrate totally, and I too gain inspiration to teach more profoundly!

Madam Li Bo-ling, who has twenty-three years of experience in teaching junior high school students, said, “The most important thing in children’s education is helping them develop correct concepts about values and a positive attitude toward life. Rather than infusing them with large amounts of knowledge, it’s better to teach them the way to acquire knowledge and proper values by themselves. This illustrated storybook will touch readers in many profound ways. Its amusing and vivid illustrations and concise text convey great truths about life for us to appreciate. You may use it for bedside story reading or role-playing; the book is the best companion for parents in educating their children.”

Madam Li Zi-mei, a former lecturer at an American vocational training center and currently a therapist-consultant in clinical psychology in the U.S. said that the book had impressed her deeply. Upon opening it she found that the whole text, from the foreword to the stories themselves, is perfectly structured for use in children’s psychological education. The first level helps to develop love through imitation of actions. The next teaches children to treat others as they would themselves. And the third focuses on elevating children’s level of consciousness to achieve full development of their character. Madam Li thus recommended the book as a must-read for people interested in early childhood education; for they will only discover its wonders by reading it personally. ...Previous Page
