According to the news media in Spain, on July 3, at one o’clock in the afternoon, there was an accident in which a subway train derailed and overturned between the Jesus and Plaza de Espana stations in Valencia, Spain. Forty-one died and thirty nine were injured in this accident.

Learning of this news, our merciful Master was greatly concerned about the victims and immediately instructed fellow initiates in Spain to bring some relief to the injured. After receiving emergency instructions from the headquarters, some Spain initiates immediately rushed to the accident scene. However, by that time the Red Cross was already carrying on the emergency rescue and the police closed access to the site. We asked if there was anything we could do to help and the answer was “no.” Even the various media journalists from all over the country could not enter the closed area and had to wait outside for further news. It was burning hot that day. We then gave the 56 lunch boxes and mineral drinking water that we had prepared beforehand to the journalists. They were all very surprised and said that they did not expect that there would be people caring about them. Many of them started to eat the food right away. Obviously, they were already extremely hungry. Some journalists said that they just rushed over from Madrid, a three or four hour drive, and had to wait there for new information. So they did not think about bringing food.

Because the fellow initiates were wearing the eye-catching yellow vests with ‘Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association’ printed on them, a television crew from Madrid (Telemadrid) came over to interview us. They were surprised that there were people so considerate about these details. They asked us if we went there after watching the news on television. There were also newspaper journalists interviewing us. The initiates explained that we were members of the Supreme Master Ching Hai International Association. Inspired by the compassion of Master Ching Hai, our Association has conducted a lot of humanitarian work all over the world. Considering that journalists work very hard in order to report first-hand news, we also wanted to offer whatever help we could do. Later on the journalists took a group photo of us in order to inform the public more about Master and our Association.

Although we could not reach the injured to provide them with material help, we did bring Master’s compassionate love and blessings to the scene. Through the interaction with the journalists, more people have also built an affinity with our beloved Master.
