[Toronto] Before group meditation in the morning of June 18, Golden Year 3 (2006), at the Toronto Center, initiates were very busy wrapping and packing home-made vegetarian food, for delivery to a public library where a seminar was to be held that afternoon. That same morning, many initiates were also very happy and excited to receive the group uniform jackets and vests that they had previously ordered. Those brothers and sisters who were to attend and help out at the seminar were delighted to put on their new uniform vests for the first time.

Shortly after noon, people began to arrive for the seminar. They were amazed at the variety of the vegetarian food and how delicious it all was. They looked happy in this atmosphere surrounded with Master’s publications and pictures, glad to be well received by fellow practitioners’ friendliness, and felt free to ask many questions about the lecture.

When one attendee arrived and was approached by a brother asking whether she was coming for the seminar, the woman said: “I am coming for the light.” The brother then asked if she was coming for enlightenment. She replied: “I am coming for the light within.” When she left, she wrote us a note saying: “Quan Yin Persons, Thank you for taking time to share LIGHT.”

After watching Master’s lecture video, many of the attendees asked spiritual questions and were eager to learn the Convenient Method. Among these people were those as young as in their early 20s to as old as almost 90. Some attendees also asked for more of the Alternative Living flyers so they could share the message with their friends and relatives. After the seminar had finished, a person stayed and talked to an initiate until the last moment when everyone had to leave.

Out of those registered to learn the Convenient Method, some asked for initiation. Among them, two have been vegetarian and one requested that his photo be taken with Master’s painting. We could feel that not only did the spiritual seed within their hearts begin to sprout, but that it might also grow faster and more vigorously.

As this seminar happened to fall on Father’s Day, some fellow brothers and sisters initially worried about a low turnout of people. However, the seminar was in fact a success.  A lot of people learned the Convenient Method, a few already applied for initiation, and the overall favorable feedback of those who attended proved that we were over-worried. In Chinese, the word “Master” signifies both father and teacher. So it is especially meaningful for the Truth seekers to reconnect themselves with our heavenly Father on Father’s Day!
