After careful arrangement and decoration, the exhibition booth emanated God’s love in a special style that was in a class of its own. It spread an aura of revitalizing energy, compensating for the business atmosphere at the Book Fair. Many passersby stopped to take photos, being amazed that an ordinary booth could be transformed into such an elegant and beautiful showcase. Equally fascinating were the 20,000 bookmarks with Master’s aphorisms printed on attractive flower backgrounds on both sides, designed by an artist initiate designer at the request of the Hong Kong Center. They attracted many visitors to stop at the booth to choose. Hopefully these little souvenirs will transmit Master’s wisdom far and wide. An elderly gentleman who had attended “A Beautiful Life Begins with a Vegetarian Diet” activity held by the Center at Kwai Fong in June, was delighted to meet the fellow initiates at the Book Fair. “It was very amazing that last time after I had eaten the vegetarian dessert you prepared, I did not feel hungry until late at night,” he said. “I have since switched to a vegetarian diet.” He also expressed a wish to visit the local Center when time allowed. Another gentleman was very interested in the different styles of Master’s photos, and observed that Master looked very young and beautiful. He was surprised that fellow practitioners looked so healthy and cheerful even though they were vegetarian. When fellow initiates showed him Master’s painted fans, longevity lamps, paintings and other art creations, he expressed great respect and admiration for Master. “I did not realize that spiritual practice has so many benefits and can inspire potential talent from within,” he said. He also enquired about the Convenient Method, and hoped to visit the Hong Kong Center to learn more about Master’s teachings.
The Hong Kong Center provided a thousand environmentally friendly bags containing Master’s News Magazines and sample books to the event organizer as prizes for visitors. Fellow practitioners also shared the message of Alternative Living in and around the exhibition venue, through the distribution of 60,000 flyers, 67,000 document folders, 4,000 fans and 3,000 booklets of vegetarian recipes. The distribution endeavor was a success, with most people expressing appreciation for the items. When the promotional items ran out before the fair ended, fellow initiates started to distribute the beautiful aphorism bookmarks with the Alternative Living flyers, attracting many visitors to come to get them by their own initiative. This year, the publishers were allowed to hold many free promotion activities in the fair. Hong Kong Center issued news releases in Chinese and English in print and CD format at the news center next to the organizer’s office, so that the media could better understand Master’s teachings. A list of Master’s publications with brief descriptions was uploaded to the Hong Kong Book Fair website, to provide the public another channel to learn about the Quan Yin Method. With Master’s grace, they also conducted several important activities very smoothly, including a conference to announce the release of the new book “Of God and Humans -- Insights from Bible Stories,” some promotional activities in the overpass corridor and a series of spiritual seminars.
The Hong Kong initiates luckily registered for six free promotional activities in the overpass corridor leading to the entrance of the exhibition hall over a five-day period. They made excellent use of these golden hours by setting up large posters of “Of God and Humans - Insights from Bible Stories” and “Alternative Living” in both Chinese and English on a platform to ensure that all visitors caught more than a glimpse of Master’s elegant appearance. Vegetarian recipes were also distributed. The security guards were so infected by the initiates’ enthusiasm that they guided visitors to our display area on their own initiative. One of them asked for a couple of the recipe booklets to be saved for himself and his colleague just before these ran out of stock. A record number of fellow initiates participated in the
activities in this year’s Hong Kong Book Fair, including many
initiates who came from China to quietly offer help. Throughout the
exhibition, everyone was happy and contented with smiles lighting
up their faces. The brothers and sisters are grateful that Master
has blessed them with a wonderful time and unforgettable memories.
They are overjoyed to be in the embrace of God’s divine love
and light, and to have the opportunity to learn and grow in Hiers
boundless love.
