Fried Tofu


I.     Recipe name: Fried Tofu

II.     Ingredients:

  1. 1 cucumber, sliced for garnish

  2. Red pepper, green pepper and Chinese parsley (optional), minced

  3. 100g vegetarian chicken**, minced

  4. 1 block (2-10 oz.) firm tofu, cut into big squares

III.     Seasonings:

  1. 1 teaspoon salt  and 1 teaspoon bean powder

  2. ½ teaspoon fruit seasoning*

  3. Pinch sugar   

  4. 3 teaspoons water

  5. A little cooking oil

  6. Dill or lemon grass, minced

IV.     Cooking utentils:     Non-stick frying pan

V.     Directions:

  1. Mix the bean powder, salt, fruit seasoning, sugar, and water together.

  2. Preheat the cooking oil in a non-stick frying pan, and fry the tofu until light golden brown. Then add the dill (or lemongrass) and vegetarian chicken, stir well. Add the peppers and stir-fry in high heat. Then add the seasonings mixture and stir to mix.

  3. Garnish with Chinese parsley and cucumber slices.
