Burdock Salad


  • 50g burdock, shredded  

Sauce seasonings:

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

  • 1 teaspoon grounded sesame

  • 1 teaspoon vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon Japanese miso

  • A little soy sauce

Mix all ingredients for the sauce seasonings and set aside.


Bring water to boil, add in burdock shreds, and cook for 5 minutes. Drain until dry. Add in the sauce seasonings, mix well and serve.

Optional: Japanese miso can be replaced by sesame oil or soy sauce.
