God Timely Sends Angels to Support the Sharing of the Vegetarian Ideal

Reported by the Taoyuan News Group, Formosa (Originally in Chinese)

Another group of Formosan initiates brought Alternative Living flyers to the eastern part of Russia. They visited Vladivostok, Khabarovsk and other places between June 16 and June 21, Golden Year 3 (2006) to share God’s message.

Vladivostok

Vladivostok enjoys the name of the Oriental San Francisco. It is a beautiful coastal city built along mountain slopes. According to our tour guide, most of the local people do not have any particular religious belief. The few religious people belonged to the Orthodox Eastern Church. On the morning of June 17, we divided ourselves into three groups to distribute flyers in places where crowds gathered, such as Central Square, Golden Horn Bay, Bright Street, the railway station and bus stations.

At the railway station, the initiates ran into a female doctor, who agreed with our ideals very much. After some discussion, we learned that she had been a vegetarian for twelve years and believed that everyone in the world should become one. Touched by her words, the initiates presented a pendant to her that had Master’s picture on it. She was very happy to see Master’s photo because she thought that Master and herself looked alike; so she felt especially close to Master. Before leaving, she left her personal information with us and asked us to contact her in the future.

When we were at a subway exit near Bright Street, three youngsters suddenly appeared. They took some flyers to read. Then they returned and asked us for a stack of flyers, and started to diligently distribute them. Our hearts were warmed when we saw them dashing around giving them to people. We were thankful to God for sending us three lovely angels to encourage us and remind us to have faith!

We felt the friendliness of the local vendors when we walked around. Looking at us working hard with high spirits, their faces showed approval. At a bus station, people were rushing to catch their bus on time, so the rate of refusal was high. We were frustrated by the many refusals, but miraculously, several youths around 17 or 18 years old appeared, and one of them asked us for a flyer. At first, we thought that he did it just for fun. But after we showed him pictures of initiates all over the world distributing these flyers, he immediately changed his attitude from playful to serious. His friends who were teasing him joined him in the distribution of flyers. Our morale was tremendously uplifted with this miracle.

God’s messengers – young local people help distribute flyers

One fashionable lady read our flyer, and then asked for four more for her friends. She said that she was a sincere follower of the Orthodox Eastern Church. Followers of the Orthodox Eastern Church believe in Jesus Christ, and the sincere ones are all vegetarians. Therefore, she was in agreement with our ideals. After listening to her comments, we felt blissful and our morale to continue the distribution was flying high. We took a 13 hour train ride that night to Khabarovsk for the next stage of the distribution as per our schedule.

Khabarovsk

We arrived at a hotel in Khabarovsk on the morning of June 18. After a brief rest and a simple meal, we divided ourselves into two groups to distribute flyers in some busy areas, such as Central Park, Lenin Square, Church Square, traditional markets, bus stations, streets and light rail stations.

When one sister was working in Central Park, a guard told her that she was not allowed to stay there, so she had to leave right away. At that moment, a couple reading our flyer nearby noticed what was going on and went to talk to the guard; afterwards, he stopped trying to chase the sister out. We were again grateful to God for sending two such powerful angels! When one brother was distributing flyers on the bridge in front of Lenin Square, a 17-year-old young man wanted to help. The young man was so efficient that our brother could not keep up. He finished distributing about 500 flyers in no time. Even more touching was the fact that the young friend did not leave until all our work was completed.

The following morning (June 19), we continued to distribute flyers at traditional markets, bus stations and light rail stations close to main streets. We had to cancel our flyer distribution activities in the afternoon because of heavy rainfall. So, we decided to let the post office deliver the left-over flyers to the mailboxes of the local people.

It is worth mentioning that half way through our trip, our tour guide was no longer able to lend us his service. Almost immediately, a zealous tour guide, Mr. Andrey, appeared in front of us, and volunteered to help. This messenger of God was ardent and intelligent. After thoroughly assessing our situation, he gave us many good suggestions according to local customs and public interests. For example, over 99% of the local people did not understand English. The local people did not want preaching, but were health oriented. Mr. Andrey therefore suggested that we change the backside of the flyer from English to descriptions of vegetarian ingredients and recipes in Russian. This would help local people become vegetarians more easily. He even told us to learn the pronunciation of “healthy food” in Russian so the local people would be more receptive to us. He patiently taught each one of us how to pronounce the words until we got them all correct.

Our first trial showed a very positive result, and our distribution process became smoother thereafter. Quickly we reduced the gap between us and the local people, and the acceptance rate of the flyer increased very much. We were very thankful to Mr. Andrey for his suggestions and his pinpointing of the problems we often ran into during our earlier distribution activities. Some people were very interested in vegetarian foods, and often asked questions such as: “What’s tofu, gluten?”, “How do you cook vegetarian food?”, and “Do you have vegetarian recipes?” Some people were financially disadvantaged and did not have a computer at home to access the internet. Therefore, carrying some vegetarian recipes and related materials is very helpful in the distribution of Alternative Living flyers, and can produce twice the result with half the effort.

When we returned from Khabarovsk to Vladivostok, seven Chinese citizens took the rare and lucky opportunity to learn the Convenient Method through the arrangement of a lady who is sincerely waiting for initiation. When we learned of their spiritual longing and their difficult situations of working abroad, we took out Master’s publications, celestial clothes, vegetarian materials, etc., and presented them to the new practitioners. Looking at them joyfully accepting God’s gifts, together we shared the emotional moment transcended by Master’s holy love!

During the flyer distribution trip, time and again we witnessed God’s miracles, and we constantly experienced Master’s protection, which quickly resolved any difficulty we faced. For example, usually a policeman would question any Asian passerby. However, looking at us distributing flyers, they would silently observe us like guardians, but not interfere with our activities. Every time when the initiates felt discouraged because of constant refusals, lovely angels would appear just in time to help them distribute the flyers. We attribute all the success to Master. Without Master’s blessing, we could never have carried out the distribution in such an unfamiliar country, with a language barrier, so smoothly.
