Sharing the Message of Love
with the Inhabitants of God’s Backyard

By Johannesburg News Group (Originally in English)

Namibia

On June 15, Golden Year 3 (2006) initiates from the Johannesburg Center flew to Windhoek, Namibia to distribute the message of Alternative Living making it the fifth stop in visiting South Africa’s neighboring countries. Upon arriving the initiates distributed about 800 English leaflets to the local people leaving work in the city center. The following morning they handed out about 2000 on cars and to pedestrians passing by. One Eastern lady came running after the initiates wanting to know where she could buy the vegetarian products, so they explained to her that she could find vegetarian food almost everywhere and that she could also easily prepare vegetarian dishes herself. Another local man explained to the initiates that he was very happy to see them sharing the vegetarian message as he was a Seventh Day Adventist vegetarian and explained that his church also encourages the vegetarian diet.

The initiates then visited the main post office and left 1000 leaflets for them to place in the respective post boxes.

They then drove four hours to Swakopmund, a beautiful city in Namibia where the ocean meets the desert. This joining together of the heat from the desert and the cold from the Atlantic Ocean creates a misty scene during the mornings and evenings. The initiates thoroughly enjoyed this magical and mystical experience. 1000 leaflets were distributed at this special place and warmly received by local passersby, at fruit shops and tourist information centers.

The initiates were very pleased to see that some local people went out of their way to receive God’s Alternative Living message and would even stop their cars on the roads to receive this precious gift. As not a single flyer was seen thrown away, it is a testimony to the upliftment of the planet and the Golden Age that the souls on earth know a message of love when they receive one.

Botswana

On Friday June 16, Golden Year 3 (2006), initiates from the Johannesburg Center departed with 4000 English Alternative Living flyers to distribute in Botswana making it the sixth and final stop in visiting South Africa’s neighboring countries. Botswana is a beautiful country famous for its fauna and lush flora and houses the very famous Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta. It has a population of around 1.5 million and its capital, Gabarone, houses around 186,000.

We arrived in Gabarone in the afternoon and were able to start with the distribution after 3pm.Whilst driving around to search for appropriate areas we saw a very busy bridge at the train station area. We decided to turn around but somehow took a wrong turn and ended up in front of a beautiful building, “The Ministry of Health”. We realized once again that it was Master that steered us in this direction and that it wasn’t a wrong turn at all! We were informed by the security guards that almost 2000 people worked inside the building! They directed us to leave some leaflets at the entrance so that the employees as well as visitors could get one on their way in and out. They also asked us to go to the other government buildings nearby. We also had the opportunity to put leaflets on the cars. With Master leading the way we were able to reach many government employees working at the Ministry of Health, Education, Parliament of Justice and even the United Nations!

Everything went very smoothly, we distributed many Alternative Living flyers, and about an hour later we got into the car again. This time Master directed us to the train and bus station area and we decided to stand at the foot of the bridge on either side so that we could share this message of love with the people who were entering as well as exiting the station. There were thousands and sometimes we were surrounded by so many that people had to wait to receive their flyer! We worked as fast as we could, trying our best to give a leaflet to everyone that passed! In no time at all we handed out almost all that we had, so we thought to leave the last few hundred for the next morning to distribute them in a different area. We met a lovely man living in Botswana who was very eager to learn about vegetarianism and the spiritual connection. He was very sincere and loving and even carried a Bible in his briefcase! He exclaimed how heartbroken it made him feel that animals had to suffer to this extent just so that someone could have a meal and how it hurt him when animals were mistreated. With Master’s guidance we easily recalled some phrases from the Bible! We also explained that Jesus and God who are so loving would never want their helpless, beautiful and innocent creatures to suffer in this unnecessary way. He seemed very convinced and informed us that his sister was already a vegetarian. We gave him another sample booklet for his sister and he was so thankful!

The next morning we took the last leaflets to the nearby shopping mall. When we arrived we put some posters up and left some leaflets at a pharmacy. Realizing that the University of Botswana was nearby we decided to distribute the last flyers, posters and sample booklets there. Everyone was also very friendly and willing to receive the leaflets. As almost all the students were on vacation they asked us to leave some at the library.

The unconditional willingness to receive God’s message of love was amazing to witness. The local people were so interested and so friendly! Thank You Master for Your loving guidance and support during this trip, we are forever grateful for the opportunity to distribute Your very important message to our neighboring countries!
